Hilson is situated in Argyll Arcade, an indoor shopping mall which has existed in Glasgow city centre since 1827. The Arcade is well known today as a centre of excellence for jewellers and diamond merchants, holding around 32 jewellery designers' shops & antique jewellers' shops all under one roof.

  





The L-shaped arcade was designed by John Baird and built in 1827. It was cut through old tenements and provides a link between Glasgow's Argyle Street and Buchanan Street. The building was Grade A listed in 1970, emphasising its special architectural importance.


  




Our business was started in 1936 and has established a reputation for offering stunning designs using the finest quality diamonds. In 1973 we created a manufacturing workshop within our premises. Since then we have been making the best quality diamond and wedding rings, the majority of which comprise laboratory certified diamonds.
